COMPROMISE
AGREEMENTS
In difficult situations, it may be necessary for
an employer and employee to agree to part company
amicably with a solution which suits both parties.
However, in order to be legally binding, such an
agreement must comply with section 203 of the Employment
Rights Act 1996 in that the employee must receive
independent legal advice from a suitably qualified
practitioner.
If you are the employer, we will draft a suitably-worded
agreement which will give you peace of mind that
there will be no legal issues to deal with later.
We will ensure that you cover every possible eventuality
so that the split can go as smoothly as possible.
We will liaise with your employee's representatives
to arrive at the best possible outcome.
